TRAPANI SALT

Come and visit
our Salt Museum

The Trapani area and its legendary industriousness: the Salt Museum of the Culcasi Salt Pans, located in the Nubia district, is a vivid testimony to this union that has existed practically forever. Visiting it allows you to discover the harmonies of a territory, those between sea and land, and the ancient industriousness of the Trapani people in the field of salt cultivation which is more of an art than a profession.
Included in the official guide of the European Union dedicated to the museums of the Mediterranean, it is located inside an ancient baglio.
Between the stone walls, it houses a mill in an excellent state of conservation, used for grinding crystals: the mills represent, together with the colorful salt pans, a unique landscape in the whole Mediterranean.
